2026 Shivering Songs Social Media Contest
Rules and Regulations
Eligibility: The 2026 Shivering Songs music festival Social Media contest (the “Contest”) is being conducted by Brunswick Credit Union Limited. The Contest runs from January 15 to January 20, 2026, and is open to residents of New Brunswick who are members of Brunswick Credit Union.
Entry: Only eligible entries will be entered into the Contest. To enter the Contest, eligible individuals are required, during the Contest Period, to:
a) Follow Brunswick Credit Union on Facebook, Instagram OR LinkedIn;
b) Like the Shivering Songs Social Media Contest post for the performance type you would like to be entered to attend (individual performance and/or weekend pass grand prize);
c) Comment the following on the post (as indicated in post): the top two bands you want to see and tag someone you’d like to bring to Shivering Songs; andd) Be a member of Brunswick Credit Union.
No Purchase Necessary: No purchase of any credit union product or service is necessary to enter this Contest.
Entry Deadline: To be accepted, entries must be posted between January 15th, 2026, at 11 AM ADT and no later than January 20th, 2026, at11:59 PM ADT. Entries received after the deadline will not qualify for the draw.
Entry Restrictions: The contest is ONLY open to members of Brunswick Credit Union. To be eligible to enter the Contest, entrants must be, as of the end of the Contest Period: a legal resident of Canada, a member of Brunswick Credit Union, and must have reached the age of majority (19 in NB). All entries will be subject to verification of their eligibility in meeting these requirements. Entrants may submit more than one entry.
Employees and board members from the following organizations in Atlantic Canada, are not eligible for Contest entry: any credit union, any credit union wealth management partner, Atlantic Central, League Savings and Mortgage Company, League Data Ltd., and any credit union deposit insurance corporation (NSCUDIC, PEICUDIC, NBCUDIC, and CUDGC). Immediate family members (i.e. those living within the same household) of Brunswick Credit Union employees are not eligible for Contest entry.Prize Conditions: All incidental costs and expenses not specifically referred to herein as part of the prize description (the “Expenses”) are the sole responsibility of the prize winner and/or guest(s), where applicable. All prize elements are subject to availability and substitution. The winner shall not seek reimbursement for the Expenses from Brunswick Credit Union.
Prizes: A total of six (6) prizes are available to be won:
A) A total of four (4) prizes of two (2) individual show passes to attend a performance at the Shivering Songs music festival 2026 taking place between January 22 until the 25, 2026 at venues across Fredericton, New Brunswick are available to be won. The value of these prizes varies per performance: Mo Kenney & Charlotte Cornfield $63.38; Logan Richard & Ben Vallee $42.80; Dan Mangan & Amy Millan $83.96; Absolute Losers, Jon Samuel & Oscar Tecu $31.00.
B) A total of two (2) grand prize(s) of two (2) weekend passes to attend Shivering Songs music festival 2026 taking place between January 22 until the 25, 2026 at venues across Fredericton, New Brunswick (each prize is valued at $238) are available to be won.
Selection and Determination of Prize Winners and Prize Distribution: One (1) Selected Entrant will be selected for each prize through six (6) random draws from all eligible entries across all three social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn). The draws will be held on January 21, 2026, at 10:00 AM ADT.
Selected Entrants will be notified by direct message (DM) through the social media platform used for entry. If a response from the DM notification is not received within twenty-four (24) hours, Brunswick Credit Union will send one follow-up DM. If there is no response to the second DM within twenty-four (24) hours, the entry will be considered void and disqualified. The entrant will then have no recourse against Brunswick Credit Union. A new Selected Entrant will be chosen, and the above notification process will be repeated until all selected entrants are contacted. The odds of selection will depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
Before being declared a prize winner, each Selected Entrant must a) be confirmed as being eligible to be a prize winner; and b) may be required to sign a Complete Release and Waiver of Claim. Prize winners must accept the prize as awarded, which has no cash value, and is not redeemable for exchanges or substitutions.
The prize winners are required to attend Brunswick Credit Union’s branch located at 30 Hughes Street, in Fredericton, New Brunswick to receive their prize.
Terms of Entry: By entering the Contest, entrants:
a) agree to abide by all Contest rules and regulations.
b) agree to release and hold harmless Brunswick Credit Union, including, but not limited to, their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, representatives, contractors, sub-contractors, wealth management partners, and shareholders from all liability resulting from actions taken in preparing for Contest entry, award, use, possession, or misuse of any prize, including any and all liability for injuries and loss or damage of any kind.
c) acknowledge that no warranty or guarantee is given by Brunswick Credit Union surrounding the use of any prize.
d) acknowledge that the Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Meta, LinkedIn, Instagram or Facebook.
e) agree to a full release and hold harmless LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook from all liability resulting from Contest entry, award, use, possession, or misuse of any prize, including any and all liability for injuries and loss or damage of any kind.
Applicable Law: The Contest and the prizes awarded are subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws.
Privacy: All personal information collected in relation to the Contest will be destroyed immediately after the prizes are awarded, and will not be used for any other purpose, except where the entrant expressly consents to their personal information being used for another purpose as described.
